Often we are bombarded by commercials and informercials on our televisions about the best and most accurate psychics. There are times when a person in need of a psychic reading does not know which way to turn. Especially when we are feeling afraid, lonely, confused, or lost.

- No amount of prayer, healing, or rituals will help a person who is afraid to move forward. These people should first decide to give up the old and embrace the new before any part of their lives can be healed.
- Psychics will not tell you silly things like what you had for lunch today, or what time you got out of bed this morning.
- Psychic readers read your energy or your soul. A psychic should always respect your energy.
- A psychic reading is about you and your personal development. A good psychic will be able to help you see what you can do to improve your life and avoid pitfalls.
- When you are having difficulties in your life, a psychic reading should give you insight as to how you can make the decisions to make things better.
- Psychics are human and do not always know the answer. If they cannot see a certain aspect of your future, they should be honest and let you know they are not clear on the answer.
- The purpose of obtaining a psychic is to answer questions and guide you as to the best way to go about solving problems.

Famous Psychic Readers
Down through the years, there have been many psychics that have gained notoriety. This is a partial list of those psychic readers.
1. John Edward: This American Psychic medium has accumulated quite a following of believers. He is very accurate in his psychic readings with messages from beyond, and detailed descriptions of what he sees.
2. Helen Duncan: Born in Scotland in 1898, this psychic medium would hold séances in the homes of others or spiritual churches and would conjure the physical manifestation of loved ones. On 2 separate occasions she was able to bring the spirit of a man serving in the Royal Navy. Those attending the séance did not know the man had passed on. Hours later the news of the ships sinking would be heard. In 1933 she was accused of faking, she was found guilty of fraud and paid a fine of £10. This did not deter her and she continued to hold séances until 1944 when one of the sessions was raided. A police officer tried to grab the ectoplasm emanating from her body, claiming it was nothing but a sheet.
He found he could not hold onto the substance and even though there was no evidence Helen and three others were charged with conspiracy. She was eventually charged with vagrancy, conspiracy, and the witchcraft act of 1735. Many people took the stand telling of how accurate Helen's gifts were. She was sentenced to 9 months in jail. Helen was taken ill when the police raided her séance in 1956. She never recovered and died 5 weeks later in Scotland with her family.
3. Lucy Hale: This psychic reader lived in Oxfordshire England and attended Spiritual Churches in the area. She worked for over 40 years as a psychic medium, until she was well into her 80's. Lucy carried on some of her church work until she fell ill and passed away after a short stay in the hospital in 1994.

Jose' Arigo: This psychic healer was born in Brazil in 1918 and first found he could heal when he was confronted with the immanent death of a relative, he stood nearby as last rites were being read. He is credited with performing surgery using any instrument he had on hand, with great success.

His aunt enlisted the help of ministers to rid him of this curse, instead they informed him he had been given a gift from God to do his work. Edger Cayce: Psychic Reading And Healing
Those who know the story of Edgar Cayce, know that as a child he was not a scholar. He would try to study and just could not wrap his young mind around what he needed to learn. After studying a particularly long time one night, he fell asleep with his head on his text book. When he woke, he knew and understood everything the book held.
Edgar Cayce was able to help thousands of people with illnesses and conveyed many truths while in a trancelike state that he could induce himself. His wife by his side, he would lie on a couch and, while in trance, his body was used by another entity, or entities that were able to diagnose and give council on how to heal diseases, and crucial information on the avoidance of disaster, among many other topics. His wife would act as secretary and record everything that he said while in trance.
Edgar Cayce was probably the finest medium and psychic reader of our time. There was no limit to the subjects Cayce would touch on while in trance state. Edgar was worn out as the number of people seeking his council grew by the day. He brought the terms Soul Mate, Meditation, Akashic Record, and Holism, and their meaning to light. Enlightening many to a way of thinking that made more sense than what they had been taught. Although he taught the fundamentals of the teachings that Jesus Christ brought forth, many Christians rejected him because his views were supportive of reincarnation and the Akashic record.
Cayce was truly a forerunner and pioneer for those of us who had been steeped in traditional religion, yet knew there had to be so much more. He was a humble soul who did not feel he was special, and said repeatedly that what he did we could all do. Many people are steeped in religious dogma and will never change their mind about these ideas. I believe in God and Jesus Christ as much as anyone I know, yet from the time I was old enough to think for myself I always KNEW there had to be more to life and death than what I had been taught.
I will always believe in the ability of everyone to learn from spirit. It takes practice and we must have the desire to put old teachings aside and have a mind that is completely open to new and wonderful things.

Casting Runes To Give A Psychic Reading
Runes are the chosen divination tool of many who give psychic readings. Casting runes will allow the reader to give a more comprehensive reading than with many other forms of divination.
This method of rune casting will give a comprehensive and detailed view of the person's situation, it will tell the person where they are on the spiritual path. Nine is a magical number according to Norse mythology. Pick nine runes from the pouch. Hold them for a few minutes and focus on your question. Now scatter them on the table or another hard surface. Read the runes that have landed face up first. They will relate to the current situation. Runes more toward the center are the most relevant as to time. Those laying around the outside are of less importance and are about events to come.
If any of the runes are touching, they usually are related to one another. Runes falling on either side of the pattern usually means an opposition to each other. If a rune falls of the table or the cloth on which you have scattered them, you can choose to see it as the most important rune in the reading, or ignore it completely.
After you have looked at the face-up runes, turn over the rest of the runes leaving them in the same position they fell in. These runes represent outside forces or future influences, and will show possible outcomes. It is up to you to decide what the patterns and position mean. Are Some Psychic Reading Really A Scam?
In any walk of life there are those who would take your money and feed you bologna. You can protect yourself from con artists who promise you a true psychic reading and give you nothing you can use in the end.
- The first thing to do is to listen with your intuition, or 'gut' if you go into a reading and it doesn't feel right, break it off immediately and leave.
- Make it known to the Universe that you want to know the truth, this in itself will help to guide you to a reputable psychic reader.
- Do not offer any personal information when you are getting a psychic reading, con artists will try to glean information from you to flesh out the reading.
When you are attuned with the other side you will know by that strange, sinking feeling in your solar plexis (gut) that all is not right with a particular reading. This will tell you the reading is not genuine and you are wasting your time.
Some online and phone psychic readings will give you the first few minutes of a reading free. This should be enough time for you to tell if the reading is a true reading. Even a true psychic may get a few wires crossed and I don't know anyone who is 100% accurate every time. They are human, after all, and not a perfect receptor.
